After the demise of Smt. Kasturba Gandhi, in 1944, the ’Jamuna Ashram’was rechristened as ’Kasturba Ashram’. Todayn ’Kasturba Ashram’has developed into an ’Aanganwari’centre which runs many Diplomai Courses in Handicraft, Tailoring, Embroidery etcfor needy &destitute women. The ’Ashram’1949 onwards is being run by Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust (Wardha).
